Another (Step) Bites the Dust

Today was the last day of radiation! Generally, I’ve held up pretty well for it. My skin is a little red, but not too irritated. As for fatigue, I have been a little tired. However, I think that surgery knocked me out so much that as I’ve healed from it, I’ve actually been gaining energy from that, but losing it from radiation, so it has kind of evened out.

I have been back at work, but it has been work from home to manage the fatigue and appointments and I’m actually ready to get back in person! And I’m really ready to gain back the two hours a day that the radiation appointments have taken away from. Tomorrow is going to feel like it has a bonus two hours in it!

As for what’s next: I’ve already started anastrozole and I’ll start Kisqali in April. I will do blog posts on each of them in a bit. But part of the problem with losing two hours a day to radiation is a lack of time to blog! So look for those to come shortly.

The additions to my playlist for the radiation generally involved things burning and radioactivity, but why don’t I embed the song that I am using to celebrate it being complete instead:

Congratulations! I take anastrozole and have not had any problems on it. I did get joint pain, but started taking collagen and it helped a lot. Now I do not have joint pain. I take Vital Proteins Collagen Peltides and it is wonderful. My oncologist said it was fine to take and most of her patients take it. It helped so much Michael started taking it for his arthritis in his knee and it stopped hurting. I put it on my coffee. 🩷🙏🙏🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
